Personalized + holistic: Because you and your life experiences are unique, I don’t use generic protocols. Everything we do together is designed to be non-cathartic (because I value integration over explosions), and responsive to the personal ecosystem that is your life.

We are partners: I feel “all the feels”, but I’m also a pragmatist. I don’t want your health and well-being to be dependent on anyone else. My wish is to share my skills and experience so that you can light your own way. Healing happens in relationship, and my role is to guide your body to reconnect with its inherent wisdom. With every session, we’ll explore a simple practice that you can take home. Personalized strategies, so you can begin to create a foundation to support yourself through the ebbs and flows of life.

Body=mind: Research has shown that our early history informs our development, our sense of who we are in the world, and how we relate to others. Our life experiences shape our thoughts, beliefs and feelings, and these are reflected in the nervous system, hormones, and even posture. The reverse is also true. That’s why I certified as a practitioner of NARM®, which builds on the insights of Somatic Experiencing®. Combined with my bodywork training, my approach brings together talk and touch.

Love + Justice: My values are rooted in the principles of healing justice.

 

I do this work because I’ve been there. And, I discovered that I didn’t have to stay stuck. That the way out, is right here and now.

The work I share brings together the teachings that I have woven together in my own journey; as a professional coach, and practitioner of somatics and biodynamics. Plus, you get a meeting of interpersonal and structural perspectives from my former lives in public health research, community organizing, and education. 

I offer these medicines to you because I know they work: they have helped me to transform the suffering of anxiety, pain and despair; they are what I draw on to practice life with more courage, resiliency and presence.

What’s in my medicine bag

I’m an over-educated nerd, with too many certifications. But, in essence, this is what it’s all about:

+ Relationship: My wish is to meet you as you are, and to support your agency, in a way that is trauma-informed, heart-centred and attuned to you. This also means recognizing edges, and referring you to other practitioners as needed.

+ Movement: Movement is life. Together, we can begin to notice where life is moving, and where emotions are held.

+ Stillness: Stillness is dynamic. Here, we pause to notice the stories we tell ourselves, and discover the deeper truths that emerge from presence in the here + now.

+ Rhythm: The seasons and the tides. Our bodies and their cycles. Expansion and contraction. Words and silence. Rupture and repair.

+ Elements: My approach is grounded in the elemental guidance offered by yogic and ayurvedic sciences.
